One of our cultural excursions led us to a cooking school here in CM. We each got to choose 4 dishes we wanted to learn to make. Our chef then took us to the market where we picked out our fresh ingredients and learned about fruits and veggies I may never see again in my lifetime. Then we got to work!
So good. I feel like I grew up watching it.
We have seen 5 movies in the theater here . . . that is more theater movies than I've seen since I started college! It's so cheap to see a movie here. I hope we can adjust when we get back to UT.
Also, only 14 days till HP7P2!

Last weekend we went to a water buffalo farm where we learned how to plant, harvest, cook, and eat rice. All in about two hours. I don't know why everyone says growing rice is so hard. This is all you do:
1. Throw rice into a wet field. Wait for it to grow a little bit, then pull it up (roots and all). Be careful of snails in the mud.

"Slow and steady wins the race," that's how our guide helped me down the mountain on our trek. He kept saying we were turtles. The trek was so amazing; adventure after adventure. I already put a lot of these photos on facebook, but I still wanted to document them here.
The trek was 2 days and 1 night. Hike up a mountain with some fun pit stops, sleep in a hill tribe village, hike down the mountain with more fun pit stops. Here are some highlights:
We got a new camera, and Andrew is SO happy with it. He loves taking photos now, and so I'm sure we'll have a million picture blog posts from now on.
