Official Announcement

So, everyone already knows, but I thought I would make an official announcement about our summer plans: we're moving to THAILAND.

I've been in denial, but we have the plane tickets now, so it's probably real.

Andrew got a job as a program facilitator for the BYU interns that go to Thailand. It's a small program so that it will be manageable, as Andrew will really be the only one responsible for the group of interns. I will also be doing an internship, which is great. I think. We'll be living in Chaing Mai. When Andrew first told me where we'd be living, he said it was a pretty big town. With my skewed perception of Thailand, I pictured this:

When Andrew figured out what I was expecting, he quickly pulled up an actual picture of Chaing Mai:

Much more better. PHEW. We will still have about 800 more adventures than we would have if we stayed here for the summer, though.

AND, I've made this point already, but I thought I'd emphasize it again just to preempt any questions anyone else may have:

PS Anyone is welcome to visit us at any time, except during the month before Andrew takes the LSAT. No, I'm not kidding, he's taking the LSAT in Thailand.

  1. I don't know why I don't already follow this blog, but this made me crack up! I still think Andrew is tricking you and you are really going to live in a mud hut. Also, how cool would it be to have a baby with dual citizenship? Jus sayin.

  5. I just want to say that titling your post "official announcement" is very misleading. Sounds very "announcing an addition to the family" to me. However, your graph clarified any excitement I may have felt. Just thought I'd let you know. So excited about Thailand - I didn't know you'd be doing an internship too!

  6. Laura, you are too funny. I was literally laughing out loud while reading this post. I just love you. And love the graph!! Haha. You are awesome. That's so awesome about Thailand! So fun! Will you come back after the summer?? Or will you move on to better places than good ol' Provo?

  7. Hi Laura,
Congratulations on your upcoming move to Thailand. It sounds very adventurous. Best of luck to you both.

On another note, I noticed that you follow "No Big Dill". I didn't know if you knew that Katy Dill is in our ward. She is fabulous! I love her five daughters.
